Genevieve Andrews, Hospital Manager
Genevieve was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada but has been living in and around Chapel Hill, NC since 1993. Genevieve has always been passionate about animals, particularly dogs and horses. Naturally, her pursuit of working in the veterinary field began early. In 2003, an opportunity to manage a horse farm and work as a riding instructor became available and Genevieve jumped at the chance to work with horses every day. In the fall of 2006, she began working for a mobile equine veterinary practice which allowed her to gain experience and skills as a veterinary assistant and practice manager. These experiences have helped her to bring a lifelong dream into focus as she continues to pursue a future in veterinary medicine. Though her educational background is in business, she hopes to eventually attend veterinary school. In 2009 Genevieve purchased her first home where she lives with her two dogs (Callie, aka "BooBoo", and Abilene), both rescued from local animal shelters. Her two horses, Finn and Willie, are kept at a nearby boarding facility where Genevieve is able to ride and visit with them daily. She continues to teach riding lessons, train horses and compete in local dressage ane eventing competitions in her spare time.
