Jessa De Jesus grew up in Florida near the beach. She always felt she wanted to be closer to the mountains and moved to Wake Forest in 2017. She now lives in Raleigh with her boyfriend, mixed breed dog, Bear, and Haitian tree boa named Drako.
During her morning commute, Jessa appreciates being able to catch up on music and podcasts. Her favorite jam band is Umphrey’s Mcgee. She has been a superstar pet sitter through Rover since 2016. She has also worked at Pet Supermarket and volunteered at Carolina Tiger Rescue.
Jessa took a continued education class through Wake Tech for “Becoming a Veterinary Assistant” as a way to help her understand Bear more. He is a sensitive child with food allergies and anxiety. She has always had a passion for caring for animals and through such life experiences she discovered a love for the field of veterinary medicine.
Jessa switched professions from a restaurant professional to a veterinary medical professional and couldn’t be more happy to share empathy, compassionate care, and education to clients and patients alike.
