Dr. Katharine Holder is originally from the mountains of North Carolina. She attended North Carolina State University for her undergraduate degree in animal science as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After vet school, she completed a small animal internship at SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Center in Fairfax, Virginia. She loved the DC area so much she ended up staying there for another 6 years before returning to her home state of North Carolina. Her professional interests include dermatology, feline medicine, and preventive medicine. Dr. Holder also has a special interest in marine conservation. She enjoys SCUBA diving and teaching people about coral reefs. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She lives with her 2 furry Ragdoll cats, Willow and Zephyr.
