Nicole Bissonnette grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. Some of her favorite pastimes while growing up involved the outdoors: hiking, camping, fishing, and enjoying the wildlife around her. Now she lives in Raleigh, NC, and attends North Carolina State University (Go Pack!). She is working on a Zoology BS degree and will be graduating in the Spring of 2016. Her future plans involve furthering her education by attending graduate school in animal behavior, biomathematics, or bioinformatics. She aspires to work with captive animals, improving their welfare, and with wild animals, studying them and improving their environmental conflicts and situations. Her biggest dream is to work with big cats both in the wild and captivity. She has a passion for animals, both domestic and wild, and loves every minute here at Dogwood, caring for our guests! She has owned both dogs and cats in the past and now has a black cat named Bear. In her spare time, Nicole also enjoys attending concerts, traveling, binge-watching Netflix, and hanging out with friends.
